Art Week At Tendercubs

Last month, our nurseries celebrated Art Week, a joyful explosion of colour, imagination, and self-expression!

Each room was transformed into a mini art studio as children explored a variety of creative techniques; from finger painting and sponge printing to nature-inspired collages and sculpture using recycled materials.

Our theme this year was “My World, My Colours”, encouraging children to represent their feelings, homes, families, and dreams through art.

Some rooms used mirrors and self-portraits to explore identity, while others created large-scale collaborative murals to promote teamwork and storytelling.

Art Week also included sensory-rich activities for our youngest children in the Panda Room, where they explored textures using edible paints, ice cubes with colour, and safe clay.

Parents were invited to view their child’s work in our pop-up gallery displays at pick-up time, sparking beautiful conversations and pride in each child’s effort and creativity.

The week reminded us that creativity is more than fun; it’s a powerful way for children to communicate, build confidence, and make sense of the world around them.
